THE REVOLTING PRESS – DAILY BLOG
Chuckie, the King of Dirty Dutch, brings Amsterdam’s daring, sophisticated and sexy style back to Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for another year starting January 13. His exclusive 2012 residency promises to deliver all new custom visual programming and performers.
Named one of “The Dance Music Producers of the Moment” by Rolling Stone, Chuckie recently released the ‘Dirty Dutch Blackout’ compilation featuring his new hit “What Happens in Vegas.” “With great inspiration comes great music and the place that inspired me most last year is really Las Vegas.” Chuckie says of the track. “Vegas is now officially ‘housed’.” Indeed, Chuckie’s residency last year saw him command Marquee’s 40-foot LED DJ booth and state-of-the-art Funktion One sound system to bring in a packed house every month.
Having risen to fame with chart successes such as “Let The Bass Kick” and “Aftershock,” Chuckie’s career has continued to develop. He is a global phenomenon who never fails to win over legions of fans with his upfront approach to making and playing music. Taking dance and urban music by storm in Europe, The United States, South America and beyond, he is spreading the Chuckie flavor with his explosive beats, surprise FXs and adulated climaxes. 2011 also saw Chuckie join the BBC Radio 1 team to present his ‘In New DJs We Trust’ show, spinning to a world-wide audience and showing off his undoubted talent behind the decks. As his stock continues to rise and rise, it seems the era of Chuckie domination is only just beginning.

Multi-platinum and Grammy winning rock band, Evanescence, will release their highly anticipated third studio album, Evanescence, on October 11th through Wind-Up Records. Evanescence will mark the band’s first release in five years. Recorded in Nashville, the self-titled, 12 track album was produced by Grammy winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Rush) and shows a clear evolution in the band’s writing while maintaining their signature sound.
The album’s first single will be the hard-hitting “What You Want,” which is set to impact radio on August 9th. The single will be available exclusively on iTunes beginning August 9th and then to all digital retailers on August 16th. “Its about freedom,” Lee described about the song in a recent interview with MTV. Other tracks on the album include “Lost In Paradise” which Lee says is “probably the most intimate song on the album”, and “Oceans” and clearly showcase Lee’s growth and range as a songwriter. “The music and the lyrics have gone more aggressive than they ever have before too,” added Lee. “We are so excited to release this thing. We’ve been working on this music for a very long time, and seeing it all finally come together is a really amazing feeling. This album is about us and also our fans–we’re combining the best of Ev with some new attitude and we’re just dying to share it.”
